The University of Auckland is a comprehensive university with eight faculties (Medical and Health Sciences, Engineering, Science, Education and Social Work, Business, Law, Arts and Creative Arts and Industries) and two large-scale research institutes (Liggins Institute and Auckland Bioengineering Institute).
