Host Families NZ (HFNZ) ensures our international students and visitors have an enjoyable experience in New Zealand. We take pride in collaborating with schools and agents to offer welcoming stays through our caring homestay families. With a substantial network of homestays across the country, we are equipped to accommodate students with a wide range of needs and preferences. 

Established in 2010, HFNZ is a proudly New Zealand-owned company. We have a wonderful team of caring professional people who are committed to making our student's and visitor’s stay in New Zealand a wonderful experience to remember.

What we offer: 

1. Homestay placements and support for individual students, including students that are under the age of 18;

2. Homestay placement and support for groups, including students that are under the age of 18;

3. Designated caregiver assessments 

4. Airport pick up and drop off

How do we select and monitor our families? 

1. Conduct interviews and inspections 

2. Ensure that all household members over 18 undergo police vetting. Families without valid police vetting records are automatically disqualified. (Vetting records are valid for 3 years.)

3. Reference checks for the main caregiver 

4. Written agreements with caregivers that clearly outline responsibilities, particularly regarding homestays accommodating individuals under 18.

5. Conduct regular visits to ensure compliance and address any concerns.

6. Implement family ratings to monitor satisfaction and improve services.
